Complaints Procedure

At Accident Assist we aim to provide a high standard of service. If you are not satisfied, we want to hear from you so we can put things right. This procedure explains how you can make a complaint and what you can expect from us.
1. How to make a complaint

Please include your name, contact details, reference number (if you have one), and a clear description of your complaint so we can respond quickly.
2. What we will do
- We will acknowledge your complaint promptly (normally within 5 working days).
- We will investigate the matter and may contact you for further information.
- We will send you a full response as soon as possible, and in any event within 8 weeks of receiving your complaint.
- If we need more time, we will let you know and explain why.
3. Our response
Our response will set out our findings, whether we uphold your complaint, and any action we will take (e.g. apology, correction, refund or other remedy where appropriate). If you remain dissatisfied after our response, we will explain the next steps you can take (see below).
4. If you are still not satisfied
If we cannot resolve your complaint to your satisfaction, you may be able to refer it to an independent dispute resolution or ombudsman scheme, depending on the type of service and the applicable regulations. We will provide you with the relevant contact details in our final response.
For claims management services, the relevant body may include the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) or another approved scheme where we are authorised. We will confirm the correct body for your case when we reply to your complaint.
5. Your rights
Making a complaint does not affect your legal rights. You may still be able to pursue other remedies (e.g. through the courts or a regulator) where applicable.
